Annual Fall Blood Drive
Updated On: Jul 25, 2018

Here I am again, asking for all who can to come to the Annual Fall Blood Drive to help the American Red Cross.  We will be having our Fall Drive on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  These drives are near and dear to my heart.  Not only do I have a very close family member under going chemo therapy, I also have family members who have been lucky enough to not have surgery rescheduled because there was not enough blood supply.  There have been surgeries, in our area, that had to be rescheduled because they did not have enough blood for stand by.  I would hate to be a family member who took their loved one for surgery just to turn around and take them back home.  That is very hard on a patient, mentally and physically.  We are in a very dangerous field and we never know when one of our brothers or sisters may need blood.  Please consider coming out and helping family, friends, co-workers and community members who may need blood.

I hope to go over our number of 26 donations from the Spring Drive.  26 is nothing when you consider that we have 1204 members.  Please help.  To schedule an appointment you can go on line to www.redcrossblood.org or call Tammie at the Union Hall.
